About Us

The Office of Campus Activities provides opportunities for students, their parents, and families to become involved in and connected to Bowling Green State University.  From admission through graduation, the office is a source of meaningful co-curricular experiences.  Through programs and services the college experience is enriched, the University Core Values are promoted, personal growth and development are facilitated, and the Educational mission of the University is supported.

 Jodi Webb

Dean of Students

Jodi has been an administrator at Bowling Green State University since August 1988 and currently serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Students.  Her primary responsibilities include oversight for the Office of Campus Activities and Orientation & First Year Programs.  She served as the first director of the First Year Experience Program at Bowling Green State University and prior to that held the position of Assistant Director of On-Campus Housing.  Jodi has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kent State University and a master's degree in college student personnel from Bowling Green State University.  She enjoys spending time away from the office with her family and participating in her daughters' school and extracurricular activities.


Dr. Denny Bubrig

Denny is in his 10th year in the higher education field all in Student Affairs based areas.  An active member of the Southern Association of College Student Affairs (SACSA), the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA);  he currently serves the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) as the National Chair for the Student Leadership Programs Knowledge Community and works with the Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA) Conference planning committee in preparation for their National meeting.  Denny has served as a workshop presenter for numerous conferences and schools including NACA regional and national conferences, the AFA National meeting, Regional fraternity/sorority conferences, and several schools throughout the southeast.  Denny also volunteers for his national fraternity as an alcohol education facilitator and risk management educator.  In his spare time he enjoys traveling, skiing, sports and watching college athletics.



Kelly Jo Larsen
Coordinator of Student Organization Programs
 

Kelly Jo has served as the Coordinator of Student Organization Programs since September 2008.  In this role she works with the overall management of student organizations, including various student organization events, such as CampusFest, as well as oversight of the student organization policies and funding process.  She advises the Student Budget Committee and serves on the Late Night Events Committee.  Kelly Jo was born and raised in Clare, Iowa.  She graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts in History with Honors.  She went on to receive her Master's of Education Planning. Policy, and Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from the College of William and Mary, where she served as the Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programming in the Office of Student Activities.  Before moving back to the Midwest, she took a year to further explore the south and spent 2007-2008 working at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  In her spare time, Kelly Jo enjoys touring historic homes and locations, reading, politics and spending way too much time concerned with pop culture.

 Marie Feehan
Events Secretary
Marie is in her 24th year at BGSU.  She has worked at the University Bookstore, Office of Residence Life, Office of Student Life, and for the past seven years a part of the staff in the Office of Campus Activities.  She is a volunteer usher at the Stranahan Theater in Toledo.



Sue Houtz
Budget Secretary
Sue is in her 23rd year at Bowling Green State University.  She has worked in many different positions/offices on campus.  The last three years she joined the Office of Campus Activities.  Her hobbies include reading, embroidery, and spending time with her friends and family.


Mike Baumhardt Graduate Assistant

Mike is a second-year graduate student in the College Student Personnel (CSP) Master's program.  Mike serves as a Graduate Assistant Advisor for the University Activities Organization. He is a May 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater (UW-W) with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Human Resources.  As an undergraduate, Mike was involved in various aspects of Residence Life, Orientation/First Year Experience, and Campus Activities.  This past summer, Mike worked in BGSU’s Orientation and First Year Programs Office as the Coordinator for Assessment and Programming. He is involved in other areas throughout the university as the Vice President of BGSDA, a member of the GAPD planning committee, and the faculty advisor for the men of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternityMike was the recipient of the UW-W Distinguished Student Leader Award, given yearly to one graduating senior.  Professionally, he enjoys attending and presenting at conferences.  Mike is currently a member of NASPA, ACPA, NACA, AFA, NODA, ACUI, and OCPA. He will be serving as one of seven interns for the NACA National Convention this year. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, cooking, traveling, and watching football.

 

Kirsten Brown
Graduate Assistant

Kirsten is currently completing the second year of her PhD in Higher Education Administration at Bowling Green State University (BGSU).  Her focus is in the area of research methods with an emphasis on international higher education and statistical techniques.  She recently spent the summer participating in BGSU's Burkina Faso program to learn about francophone West African education systems.


 
Gina Cipriano
Graduate Assistant


Gina, originally from the Cleveland area, earned her Bachelor of Science in Tourism/Event Planning from BGSU in Summer 2009. She was President of Recreation and Tourism Majors Association (RTMA) and served as the secretary in the Italian Club as an undergrad at BGSU. She is now pursuing a Masters of Education in Human Movement, Sport, and Leisure Studies with a specialization in Leisure and Tourism. She will be working as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Campus Activities for the 2009-2010 school year in Student Organization Services.


 Jacob Cramer
Graduate Assistant

Jacob is a graduate student in the Master of Accountancy program. During the 2009-2010 school year he will be working in the Office of Campus Activities as a Financial Consultant for student organizations. In May 2009, Jacob graduated magna cum laude, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, from The University of Findlay. He majored in Accounting and minored in Finance and Mathematics. While at UF, he served as the Treasurer of the Accounting Club. In the summer of 2008, he worked as a finance intern at Birchaven Retirement Village, part of Blanchard Valley Health System.



Matt Garrison Graduate Assistant
Matt is a Financial Consultant for the Office of Campus Activities. While attending BGSU for his undergrad, he ran College Pro Painters, a painting franchise, which employs only college students.  He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, specialized in Accounting in December of 2008. Since graduation, Matt has been working at an accounting firm in Toledo and is now returning to Bowling Green to pursue the Masters of Accountancy.


 
Michael Landis
Graduate Assistant


Michael is second-year graduate student pursuing a Master of the Arts degree in College Student Personnel (CSP) and serves as a student organization services Graduate Assistant in Office of Campus Activities. In May 2008, Michael completed his Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from West Virginia Wesleyan College. While at Wesleyan, Michael was actively involved in the Campus Activities Board (CAB), College Judicial Board, Senior Campaign Leader, and the Parking Advisory Committee. Michael has also served as a Residential Advisor, Assistant Coordinator, Summer Conference Assistant and this past summer Michael completed a Residence Life internship at Randolph-Macon College. Michael is a member of Alpha Phi Omega Co-educational Service Fraternity and a member of Psi Chi. In 2007, Michael was selected as one of twelve undergraduate students to be part of the MACUHO Lisa A. Pierce Volunteer Incentive Program for Students (VIPS) for students interested in career opportunities in Residence Life and Housing. 




Alison Mathe
Graduate Assistant

Ali earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology at The University of Tampa.  As an undergraduate, Ali was involved with Student Government, Leadership Programs, Sigma Delta Tau, and the Honors Program.  Leading to the completion of an Honors Research Fellowship on Community Oriented Policing and Police Value Systems in Mexico in 2007 and receiving the Spartan Award in 2008. Currently, Ali is a graduate assistant for student organization services in the Office of Campus Activities and is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in College Student Personnel.


A. J. Rinaldi
Graduate Assistant
AJ is in his first year of the Master's program Learning Design, which is a part of the College of Technology.  He is an undergraduate alumnus from BGSU with a Bachelors degree in Science and Technology, where he focused in Visual Communication Technology and minored in Entrepreneurship.  AJ was involved in various organizations during his time as an undergrad.  A couple of those organizations were Visual Communication Technology Organization (VCTO) where he served as the President, Treasurer, and currently the Executive Board Advisor, and Dance Marathon where he served as a core committee chair and also on the Steering Committee.
AJ is the Career Technology Graduate Assistant for the Office of Campus Activities.  He is in charge of various technology items in the office that range from a new software platform called OrgSync, to helping maintain their financial system. AJ enjoys working on various graphic design projects and learning more about cutting edge technology, also taking his dog out for walks and playing with her.


 
Katie Seamands Graduate Assistant
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Government World Affairs and History from The University of Tampa. During her time as an undergraduate, Katie was involved in Student Government, Residence Hall Association, University Ambassadors, Alpha Chi Omega, and the Order of Omega. She participated in two faculty-led study abroad trips to China and Greece. Currently, Katie is pursuing her Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, with her assistantship in the Office of Campus Activities serving as an advisor to the University Activities Organization (UAO). 

 
Amber Soldenwagner
Graduate Assistant

Amber earned her undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University.  In May 2009, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance.  As an undergraduate, Amber was involved with Beta Alpha Psi, Financial Management Society, Kappa Phi, Honors Student Association, and the Honors Program.  Amber has interned with Ernst & Young in Toledo, OH and she also spent two summers working with Sky Bank in which she received "Perfect Teller" status.  Currently Amber is a graduate assistant in the Office of Campus Activities working as a financial consultant and is pursuing a Master of Accountancy degree.




 
P. J. Wolf
Graduate Assistant

P.J. is a graduate student in the Master of Accountancy program. This year he will be working as a Financial Consultant for student organizations on campus. In May 2009, P.J. completed his Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Accounting at BGSU. As an undergraduate, PJ was highly involved in many organizations and activities on campus. On top of being an active member in the Falcon Marching Band, the Curling Club, and the Outdoor Program he also worked in various positions in Residence Life as a Resident Advisor and an Administrative Resident Advisor. During his senior year, P.J. was a member of the Undergraduate Student Government where he served as the treasurer. He was also a student intern with the Internal Audit Department on campus. One of his fondest memories of BGSU was serving as the co-chair of the Student Budget Committee this past year. In his free time, P.J. enjoys backpacking, curling, traveling, running, cooking, and spending time with his fiancée.
