Sibs N Kids Weekend
As the excitement and anticipation for Sibs N Kids weekend 2013 at Bowling Green State University grows, we understand that families, students, and other participants may have questions regarding the weekend. We are doing our absolute best to answer all questions to ensure that students, families, and siblings can take full advantage of the fun opportunities during the weekend. We ask that before you contact the Office of Campus Activities with a question you browse through the frequently asked questions (FAQ) below to see if your question has already been answered. Q: What age is the weekend geared towards? Would my older sibling(s) be interested in coming?
A: Sibs N Kids weekend welcomes siblings of all ages to the beautiful BGSU campus. The student planning committee and cooperating organizations are working hard to provide unique and fun programming for all ages. The weekend will consist of programming that appeals to children, adolescents, and young adults. Because this is an experience meant for BGSU students and their siblings, we take special care to provide opportunities for participants of all ages to have fun!
Q: How old does a sibling have to be to participate?
A: The University welcomes siblings of all ages to attend Sibs N Kids weekend, however, to be able to participate in the events during the weekend, participants must be 6 years of age or older. To register your sibling between the ages of 6 and 17, please click here. Participants 18 years of age or older can be registered when they arrive on campus for the weekend. If you plan on housing a sibling under the age of 6 within your residence hall, you are responsible for contacting your Hall Director to let them know.
Q: When will the event schedule for the weekend be posted?
A: The Sibs N Kids 2013 student planning committee and a wide variety of student organizations and campus departments are currently brainstorming and working on events for the weekend. Once all events have been finalized, a schedule for the weekend will be created and posted online. We are working on establishing a schedule as quickly as possible. Once we have a final schedule, it will be posted to the website and Facebook page. Keep checking back regularly for any updates.
Q: Is there any cost for my sibling to attend?
A: There is no cost for registering and attending Sibs N Kids weekend 2013 at BGSU. We strive to ensure that most, if not all, programming on the weekend is free for all students. Any events that require an admittance charge will be labeled as such on the schedule, however, such events will be few.
