  What is Fall Welcome?
Fall Welcome is a prelude to the start of fall classes. Fall Welcome events are designed to assist students in their transition to BGSU. Events are scheduled to acquaint students with campus resources, other students, and the involvement opportunities on campus. Fall Welcome starts on Saturday, August 23 and runs through Saturday, September 6, 2008

What types of events are held during Fall Welcome?
Fall Welcome is filled with campus-wide and department-focused events to introduce students to the programs and services at BGSU. Events this year include Late Nite @ the Rec, comedians – Loni Love and Megan Mooney, events at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, illusionist Craig Karges, comedic hypnotist Dale K, and rock band Recycled Percussion.

Is Fall Welcome part of BGeXperience?
The BGeXperience introduction will take place during the first few days of Fall Welcome – August 23 and 24. Both programs compliment each other and afford students the opportunity to meet other students in small and large group settings, all the while assisting in the transition to BGSU. There will be no Fall Welcome events that conflict with any of the BGeXperience small group sessions.

Do students really attend Fall Welcome events?
Yes! Fall Welcome events have been designed to make students feel more connected to BGSU and help them establish friends and support networks. Events are designed to be educational, informative, and fun!

Why should I go to Fall Welcome events?
Orientation Leaders provide a familiar face and a point of reference for first year students that add to the students’ level of comfort and willingness to attend the events. Also, it will be your duty to advertise for Fall Welcome through word-of-mouth and via your Web portal/email.
