BGSU Parents Fund

The Parents Fund was created to offer parents an opportunity to enrich the lives of all students attending the University through private giving. Many parents expressed a desire to demonstrate their support and appreciation for the University chosen by their sons and daughters and to increase their involvement in the life of the University.

The Parents Fund goals are:

• To create or enhance Division of Student Affairs programs that lead to the academic and personal success of BGSU students.
  
  
• To provide financial assistance to Division of Student Affairs programs that expand the sense of community at BGSU, where all students will feel welcome and important.
  
  
• To support University-wide programs and projects that enrich educational opportunities for BGSU students.

Your gift to the Parents Fund benefits today's BGSU students by providing resources for programs and enables them to engage in experiences that might otherwise be unavailable. Through the Parents Fund, you -- our parents and families -- have the opportunity to make annual charitable contributions to Student Affairs programs and services that include leadership, personal, and career development, individual support, campus life, and academic success.


Why should I give each year?
Your generous support helps strengthen BGSU and upholds academic excellence to help us achieve our goal of becoming the premier learning community in Ohio and one of the best in the nation.

These programs benefit your students and all other students currently enrolled at BGSU. Dr. Edward Whipple, Vice President for Student Affairs, welcomes recommendations from parents, as well as staff members, to determine where the need is greatest for using Parents Fund and family members' gifts. BGSU is successful in large part because of you and your continuing support.


How can my gift do even more for BGSU?
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs that can double or triple your contribution to BGSU. Request a form from your company and send it to us with your contribution. If you are unsure if your company will match your support, or have questions about matching gift ratio, eligibility, or procedure, please contact us.


How can I contribute?
Please give as generously as you can; each contribution makes a significant difference to BGSU students immediately and in years to come.

If you would like to join other parents and family members who contribute to the Parents Fund, send your check, payable to the Bowling Green State University Foundation, Inc. Parents Fund, to the BGSU Foundation, Mileti Alumni Center, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH 43403.

If you would like to make a gift of securities, the preferred procedure is by transfer to a BGSU account. Contact us for instructions prior to taking any action.
