PURPOSE The MAT is a high-level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems as analogies. Fluency in the English language,
a broad knowledge of literature, philosophy, history, science, mathematics, and fine arts, and the ability to reason out relationships
may contribute to your performance on the MAT.
TESTING TIMES The MAT is usually administered each week. During the fall of 2008, MAT exams can be schedule between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on
any Wednesday (except October 15, 2008). Please contact the National Test Center at 419-372-7533 to schedule an appointment.
LOCATION The MAT is held in the Counseling Center, 121 Saddlemire Student Services at Conklin Building.
ELIGIBLE TEST TAKERS Anyone wishing to apply to a graduate school that accepts or requires the MAT as an admission examination.
MATERIALS NEEDED You will need to bring an acceptable form of identification such as a drivers license.
COSTS The basic fee for the MAT is $70.00 payable in the form of check, cash (exact amount only) or money order made payable to
BGSU.
HOW TO REGISTER Contact the Test Center at 419-372-7533 to schedule an appointment.
TEST LENGTH The examination consists of 100 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes.

SCORE REPORTING: Unofficial scores for the MAT are usually reported immediately however you can expect it to take 4-6 weeks after the test
to get a copy via U.S. mail.
