PURPOSE The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a computer based program offered through the College Board where well prepared
students may take the tests to obtain college credit. It is designed to assist students in reaching their academic goals by
gaining college credit for knowledge acquired in previous non-credit studies or outside a traditional classroom setting. Along
with many other universities, BGSU grants credit for acceptable scores in one or more subject areas. Policies on the granting
of CLEP credit are set by the individual universities and vary widely from one institution to another.
TESTING TIMES The CLEP is normally administered each week. During the fall of 2008, CLEP exams can be scheduled between 8:00 am - 5:00
pm on any Wednesday (except October 15, 2008). Please contact the National Test Center at 419-372-7533 to schedule an appointment.
LOCATION The CLEP is held in the Counseling Center, 121 Saddlemire Student Services at Conklin Building.
