FISHING FOR THE PERFECT INTERVIEW
The Career Center and Bowling Green State University recognize your organization as an integral partner in the recruitment
and placement of our students. As such, we respectfully request your assistance in conducting an interview simulation with
our students. During this mock interview event, students will learn effective interviewing strategies and techniques to answer
popular interview questions. Student volunteers will be asked typical interview questions by employers and recruiters. A
debriefing and feedback opportunity for student volunteers and audience members will occur following each question.
The interview simulations will take place on the following dates:
All Majors: Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 7:30-9:00pm
Education Majors: Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 5:00-7:00pm
We hope your schedule will allow you to join us as an interviewer at this worthwhile educational program. Clearly, our students
will benefit from their interactions with you, and your organization will gain greater visibility among Bowling Green State
University students.
Confirmation packets, detailing the logistics, will be e-mailed separately upon your acceptance of this invitation.

ARTS and SCIENCES EXTRAVAGANZA
Be a part of the 2nd annual Arts and Sciences Extravaganza. The Career Center, in conjunction with the College of Arts and
Sciences, has created an interactive forum where students can learn how their competencies, skills, and interests gained from
a liberal arts education can translate into career opportunities. Recruiters and local employers will speak informally with
students about the importance of transferable skills as well as the value of a liberal arts education and how it translates
into various career paths. The date of the Extravaganza has been set for Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 11am-2pm in the
Ballroom of the Bowen Thompson Student Union. Please consider speaking to students about your career choices! November 19, 2008 11am-2pm
