MISSION STATEMENT Career Center provides career development and employment services that are responsive to the unique needs of our primary constituents,
students of Bowling Green State University. We offer job search assistance to help students obtain meaningful career positions,
cooperative education and internship experiences, and part-time jobs. Additionally, career planning services are provided
to students to explore and identify career directions. In partnership with others, we promote a greater awareness of the world
of work and the need to view career development as a lifelong process.
VISION STATEMENT The staff members of the BGSU Career Center are committed to offering services that are demonstratively superior. We are viewed
as knowledgeable about the needs of our students, alumni, and employers, and as a helpful source of support and counsel. Our
students, alumni, and employers leave our office feeling understood and valued. We treat them with respect and dignity. We
encourage long-standing, mutually beneficial relationship with all we serve. We respond to inquiries, concerns, and complaints
in a prompt, fair and courteous manner. We demonstrate by our actions the way we want Bowling Green State University to educate
and serve its constituents.
We are committed to providing the highest quality services, programs, and publications that are within our capability. Our
services are practical and immediately useable. Technological innovations is a hallmark of the Career Center. We are the standard
by which others are judged.
We are committed to creating a caring environment which fosters a climate of openness, mutual respect, and teamwork. We value

plans and actions. We are positive in our outlook and treat negative situations as learning opportunities. We seek to minimize
the hierarchy. Decisions are made by those employees closest to the situation and staff members are evaluated according to
how much each contributes to the others’ successes.
