Ohio GI Bill Promise

The Ohio GI Promise was created by an Executive Order issued by Governor Ted Strickland. The Executive Order granted authority of the Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents to deem qualified veterans as Ohio residents for the purpose of qualifying for in-state tuition rates.

A "qualified veteran" is defined as one who has taken the steps to meet the three major requirements, which include:

1. Being eligible for federal GI Bill education benefits
2. Moving and remaining domiciled in Ohio
3. Participating in an approved community service or co-op/internship program

Additional details pertaining to the Ohio GI Bill Promise will be made available through this page in the near future.
