Current Veteran Students Please Note : After you register for classes, you need to complete and submit an Intent Form to the Office of Registration & Records. The fall Intent Form covers both the fall and spring semesters. Also, if you plan to attend the summer semester and wish to receive benefits, you must stop by our office to fill out the summer Intent Form. However, you must schedule your classes as you intend to take them before filing the Intent Form.

If you change your major, you need to stop by the Office of Registration and Records to file Form 1995. This form is needed to inform the VA of your new major, and is available in our office. Also, please let us know if you drop any classes. If classes are dropped, your benefit rate may be affected.

Students Transferring to BGSU : If you are transferring to BGSU from another school, please stop by the Office of Registration and Records to fill out Form 1995. This will inform the VA of your change of school and it will help you to get acquainted with our VA representatives here at Bowling Green State University.

Things to Keep in Mind : When registering for classes, keep in mind that the VA will not pay for any classes that do not count toward your major. Be aware that the VA periodically checks all applicants to ensure that the courses being taken are relevant to the student's declared major. Failure to comply with this policy could lead to the VA billing you for benefits received for courses that do not count toward your major.
