Purpose
The specialization is designed for students who have
an interest in the interdisciplinary fields of finance
and economics. It provides background in both finance
and economics and the basic tools needed for entry-level
work. Career opportunities associated with this specialization
include, but are not restricted to, securities brokering,
securities analysis, portfolio management, commercial
lending and bank research.
BSBA
general degree requirements
Students completing the financial economics specialization
must complete University,
general degree,
pre-professional
and professional
requirements for the BSBA degree, including admission
to the BSBA program.
Financial
Economics specialization requirements (24 hours)
- Grade
of "C" or better in each prerequisite finance
course for all 400-level finance courses
- FIN
330, 340, 350
- ECON
302, 303 (one may be counted as part of the BSBA professional
core)
