First-year
students admitted to the University Program for Academic
Success are offered the opportunity to enroll in college
courses while receiving academic support that assists in
making a successful transition to the University. Group
and individual tutoring and comprehensive academic advising
are among the services available to participants in the
program. Admission is selective, but not as competitive
as regular fall and spring admission. Each semester, students
register for approximately 15 credit hours that are carefully
selected in consultation with their academic advisor to
provide the appropriate level of challenge.
