Special programs and student activities

Education abroad
The College of Business Administration has an exchange program with AUDENCIA Nantes - Ecole de Management in France. Students from AUDENCIA Nantes attend BGSU during the academic year, joining students in business and other classes and activities. Students from the College of Business Administration and from any major at BGSU and other universities participate in a summer program in Nantes, France.

The summer education abroad program is designed to introduce students to Europe and the environment of European business, while gaining first-hand experience living in a foreign environment. Students spend five weeks in courses in Nantes and complete the program by spending several days visiting institutions of the European Union located in Brussels, Belgium.

The program includes courses in European business and economic environments, the European Union, and French and other European cultures. Students earn at least six credit hours at the undergraduate or graduate levels. All courses except optional French language courses are taught in English by international faculty. Class sessions are three and ½ days per week, allowing time each week for students to travel to other areas in Europe.

For additional information, contact the Nantes program coordinator in the Department of Management, 3005 Business Administration (419-372-9532), or Undergraduate Studies in Business, 371 Business Administration (419-372-2747), or see www.cba.bgsu.edu.

Internships and cooperative education
Opportunities for business administration students to gain practical experience in a work setting are provided through internships and cooperative education (see Cooperative education programs). Students in all programs are encouraged to participate and may receive credit if taken in conjunction with an internship course. Students specializing in health care administration and hospitality management must meet internship or cooperative education requirements. For further information contact the department, program or college office.
