A
student who completes the Integrated Social Studies degree program,
possesses a 2.5 accumulative grade point average, and successfully
completes the Praxis Examinations is eligible for an adolescent
to young adult (ages 12-21) license valid for teaching social studies
in grades seven through twelve. The student must possess an overall
GPA of 2.8, a content GPA of 2.8, and successfully complete the
appropriate Praxis II content exam to be eligible for admission
to the Professional Year.

Outcomes
Upon
completion of the baccalaureate degree, students in teacher education
programs are expected to:
- Apply theories
of human development and learning to their teaching through the
design of lessons and units of instruction;
- Plan, implement
and assess instructional strategies;
- Exhibit professional
and ethical behavior when working with students, their parents,
other educators and community members.
