Purpose
This curriculum prepares a student for a career in the field of
human resource management, in the key staff positions of compensation,
staffing-employment, training and organization development or
for a position in line management. The human resource management
specialization courses develop advanced knowledge and skill in
the areas of performance, evaluation, work design, human resource
planning, staffing, compensation, training and development, employee
involvement programs, performance improvement programs, and organization
development and the management of change. Electives are used to
strengthen the student's background through courses in psychology,
economics, law and/or applied field experience in organization
development.
BSBA
general degree requirements
Students completing the human resource management specialization
must complete University,
general degree, pre-professional
and professional requirements
for the BSBA degree, including admission
to the BSBA program.
Admission
to the Human Resource Management specialization
Students are encouraged to enroll in the human resource management
program as freshmen. However, to be admitted officially to the
specialization, students must have been admitted to the BSBA program
and have a BGSU cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.
