The
EDHD Technology & Resource Center provides the following
four services:
- Computer
labs and classrooms—The center has 37 Dell (Windows)
computers and 64 Apple PowerMac computers distributed
in three classrooms and an open lab space. The classrooms
can be reserved for single events or by classes for
an entire semester. The lab is available for use 80+
hours per week.
- Resource
library—The center has over 1,300 education-related
periodicals, CD-ROMs, videos, and texts available
to EDHD faculty, staff, and students. Digital cameras
and laptop computers are also available to faculty
and staff for up to ten working days.
- Professional
development—Each semester the center provides
technology seminars and workshops for the EDHD community.
Past topics have included web resources, plagiarism,
online course authoring, and digital video editing.
- Web
site coordination—The center maintains web pages
for the EDHD administrative offices. Assistance and
consultation is also provided to all EDHD schools
to help maintain their web pages.
