Springboard
guides students in the development of six key competencies:
communication, analysis, problem solving, judgment, leadership
and self-assurance. Springboard gives students a jump
on college and on life!
Springboard
is open to all first-year students. Each student is paired
with a personal coach-mentor who works positively with
that student through hands-on activities, careful assessment
and supportive feedback. In Springboard, the first-year
student centers on development and growth of self.
Upper
Springboard continues to develop the six Springboard competencies.
Hands-on learning is juxtaposed with supportive peer coaching.
In Upper Springboard, the student centers on development
and growth of self relative to others (teams, committees,
employees).
Springboard
coaching is open to volunteers and registered students,
including graduate students, undergraduate students and
people from the campus and community. Springboard coaching
teaches the coach-mentor valuable skills and provides
valuable experience to carry forth to workplace and life.
