Distance
education at BGSU—credit and noncredit course work
available via interactive video and web-based delivery—is
supported by Continuing Education, International &
Summer Programs through its Interactive Distance Education
for All Learners (IDEAL) team. IDEAL maintains an informative
website (http://ideal.bgsu.edu)
that publicizes current distance learning opportunities
available each semester. All credit courses originate
within specific academic departments and are scheduled
by CEISP primarily to serve adult learners and other nonresidential
students seeking convenient instructional times and modes
of delivery. Selected distance courses are also scheduled
during summer sessions to serve upper-division BGSU students
who are unable to take on-campus courses but wish to continue
their coursework toward the completion of their degree
programs.
