FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Is this a timed event?
There is no clock, chip timing, or official distance to the event. This event is dedicated to enjoyment, adventure, and collaboration between BGSU and the local community to celebrate reading and running.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, all participants must sign a waiver. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver form as well. They are available on the registration website and are to be brought with you the day of the event.
Are there age limits?
Due to the adventurous nature of this race all participants must be at least 16 years of age or older to participate.
What can I expect when I race?
You can expect a 1.5-2 mile course with up to 12 obstacles including climbing, crawling, water, and mud. You can expect fun and adventure while competing in a friendly environment with BGSU student, faculty, staff and community members.
When should I register?
Registration is open NOW! The race is limited to a first come first served race pool of 400 participants. Once we reach 400 participants the race will be closed. No one will be allowed to register the day of the event so please make sure to register early so you don’t miss out!
Is there a cost?
NO! This event is free to all participants as a well to celebrate the Common Reading Experience choice of Born to Run, a book by Christopher McDougall.
