Personnel Changes since the December 5, 2008 meeting
The Board approved the personnel changes since the December 5, 2008 meeting.
Center of Excellence: Health & Wellness Across the Lifespan
The Board designated Health and Wellness Across the Lifespan as a Center of Excellence for Bowling Green State University.
McDonald Residence Hall Roof Replacement
The Board authorized Residence Life Renewals & Replacements Operating Reserves for the replacement of the roof at McDonald
Residence Hall.
Roof Repairs, Roof Replacements and Masonry Pointing Projects
The Board authorized funds for the repairs and replacements of roofs at seven buildings: Health Center, Moore Musical Arts
Center, Overman Hall, Animal Annex, Biology Greenhouse, Tucker Center, West Hall; the repair of a leaking skylight at Jerome
Library, and approximately 39,000 square feet of spot masonry tuck pointing for at least six buildings: Life Science, Overman
Hall, Psychology, Shatzel Hall, West Hall, Williams Hall.
East Data Ring Installation
The Board authorized funds for the installation of an East Data Ring.
Parking Lots 5 & 12 Expansion
The Board authorized funds for the expansion of existing parking lots 5 & 12. This project will provide the space needed for
the relocation of approximately 1,250 parking spaces due to the planned construction and site placement of the future Stroh
Center, and the redesigning and upgrading of two practice fields for the University’s marching band.
Reallocation of Funds from Austin Capital Management Safe Harbor Fund
The Board approved temporarily directing all funds currently invested with Austin Capital Management Safe Harbor Fund into
the University’s existing overnight cash accounts until such time as a replacement investment option is duly recommended by
the University’s investment advisors.
Sponsored Grants and Contracts Awarded: October, November, and December 2008
The Board approved grants and/or contracts in the amount of $2,381,554.00 for the month of October, $2,693,265.49 for the
month of November, and $1,420,618.00 for the month of December 2008, be accepted and expenditures applicable thereto in that
amount be authorized.
