Antwan Jones

Antwan Jones, a doctoral candidate in sociology at BGSU, is the Graduate Student Trustee. He earned a master’s degree in sociology from Bowling Green in 2007 and is currently pursuing a second master’s degree, in applied statistics. He received his bachelor's degree in sociology and African American studies from Duke University in 2004. The North Carolina native now resides in Maumee, Ohio, and is a member of BGSU’s Sociology Graduate Students Association, African American Graduate Students Association and Graduate Student Senate. Active in many Toledo-area civic organizations as well, he has also served on the American Sociological Association's Student Forum Advisory Board and the Society for the Study of Social Problems Board of Directors. In 2007, Jones was the recipient of the Donald J. and Susan E. Adamchak Graduate Student Award in Demography.
