University Advancement
- Building Dreams Campaign, the largest fund-raising effort in University history, reached $130 million in spring 2008, surpassing
$120 million goal.
- $8 million gift for Stroh Center–biggest single gift in University history
- $40 million in new scholarships raised through the Building Dreams Campaign
- 10 new endowed professorships and two teaching-coaching excellence positions added through private contributions
- Wolfe Center for the Arts project gets $1.5 million gift from Mary and Fredric Wolfe.
Intercollegiate Athletics
- Women’s basketball team wins three MAC championships and trip to NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
- Men’s football team wins in Motor City Bowl and GMAC Bowl.
- In FY 2007, 165 student-athletes had grade point averages of 3.0 or above. During the 2006-07 academic year, the student-athlete
graduation rate was 69 percent, compared to an overall student body graduation rate of 61 percent.
BGSU Firelands
