At its October 3 meeting, the Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees took action on the following items:

Minutes of the June 27, 2003 Meeting
The Board approved the minutes of the June 27, 2003, meeting, as written. 


Personnel Changes Since June 27, 2003 Meeting
The Board approved the personnel changes since June 27, 2003. 

Appointment of Julie Horine Edmister as a Full Professor with tenure in the School of Leadership and Policy Studies
The Board approved the appointment of Julie Horine Edmister as a Full Professor with tenure in the School of Leadership and Policy Studies. 

Proposed Naming of the Popular Culture Library of the Bowling Green State University Libraries
The Board approved the motion that the Popular Culture Library of the Bowling Green State University Libraries be named The Ray and Pat Browne Library for Popular Culture Studies. 


State-Funded Capital Budget Request
The Board approved that the Proposed State-Funded Capital Budget Request for Bowling Green State University be forwarded to the Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents. 


Auxiliary Improvement Projects
The Board approved the proposed Out-of-Cycle Auxiliary Improvement Projects totaling $167,750, including $104,000 for the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, $49,950 for the Student Recreation Center, and $13,800 for the Saddlemire Student Services Building. 

Real Estate Purchase Agreement
The Board approved the University’s entering into a real estate purchase agreement with the Ohio District Lutheran Church Extension Fund, Inc., to purchase real property located at 1124 East Wooster Street and 118 Williams Street, Bowling Green, Ohio.

Sponsored Grants and Contracts Awarded:  June, July and August 2003   
The Board accepted sponsored grants and/or contracts in the amount of $(2,573,161.29) for the month of June 2003, $1,309,338.00 for the month of July 2003, and $7,113,879.69 for the month of August 2003.
