1,068 BGSU students to graduate Aug. 10

BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University will award degrees to 1,068 students during summer commencement exercises on Aug. 10.

University President Sidney A. Ribeau will preside at the ceremonies, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the lawn in front of University Hall. Dr. Daniel Brahier, a member of the College Education and Human Development faculty and winner of the 2001 BGSU Master Teacher Award, will give the commencement address. In the event of rain, the ceremonies will be held in Anderson Arena.

There are 509 students who will receive graduate degrees, including 37 doctoral candidates, 462 master’s degree candidates, four candidates for the doctor of education degree, and six candidates for the specialist degree in education. The remaining students will receive bachelor’s degrees.

The graduating students represent 63 Ohio counties, 33 states and 23 nations. (Posted August 7, 2002)
