Continuing & Extended Education's Computer Training Center (CTC) in partnership with ITS provides a variety of hands-on computer-training
opportunities for Faculty and Staff. Sessions are offered throughout the year for any employee to attend at no charge, with
schedule/flyers being mailed every two months. The CTC also provides group, individualized and customized training for offices
and departments on demand. Sessions are available in web design, office productivity applications, troubleshooting, database

The National Institute for the Study of Digital Media (NISDM) offers greatly reduced rates for high-end multimedia training.

How you can fit classes into your busy schedule
Evening Credit Programs offers classes after 4:30 p.m. which enable you to work toward one of five designated evening degrees,
complete substantial portions of other degree programs and develop additional skills.
Ideal (distance education) brings you even more flexibility with online credit classes for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Prior Learning Assessment may lead to college credit for your life and work experience. Adult Learner Services can help you
explore your educational options and will assist you step-by-step through the planning and enrollment processes. For more

Because everyone really wants to be a director
WBGU-TV offers a variety of sessions to assist in the development and use of the campus digital video network. These sessions
include assistance with production of self-paced training sessions and sessions that train all BGSU faculty and staff in searching,
scheduling, and viewing video for their classroom or desktop. WBGU-TV also provides satellite downlink and uplink capabilities

Helping to insure that we all have an equal chance
The Office of Equity and Diversity offers a variety of seminars covering such topics as: Sexual Harassment, Building a Diverse

- Human resource education

Required for new staff employees and recent transfers
All new staff employees are required to attend New Employee Orientation. Recently transferred staff employees are likewise
encouraged to attend. This program provides in-depth information about the university and our connection and commitment to
our students and employees. Included in the day's program are mandatory Fire Safety Training, Sexual Harassment Training and
Policy on Violence.
Other educational opportunities include: Applicant Tracking, Classified Staff Performance Appraisal, Policy on Violence Overview,
Resume and Interviewing Skills Training, Hiring Procedures and Managerial Series (decision-making, communications, business
writing, and team building). On-line "Ramp up!" which provides information on using the Internet and other electronic environments.

Technology integration programs include professional development and graduate credit opportunities in the areas of distance
learning, assistive technology, classroom technology integration strategies, video production for the classroom, and web page
development for students. In addition, Northwest Ohio Educational Technology (NWOET) houses over 13,000 media resources for

Helping you go for the gusto—gradually
The Fitwell Center is a fitness and wellness-testing center located in the mezzanine of the Student Recreation Center. The
Fitwell Center adheres to the standards set by the American College of Sports Medicine for exercise testing and prescription.
The vision of the Fitwell Center is to promote a "well" lifestyle for the students, faculty and staff of the Bowling Green
State University community. Programs include a cholesterol check, body composition measurements, blood pressure, sub-maximal
treadmill test, health risk appraisal, and personal training. Periodic wellness lectures are available to all employees. For
