The purpose of the Health, Wellness and Insurance Committee is to monitor employee health, wellness, and insurance plans,
and the employee satisfaction with the exising plans, to establish goals to improve employee wellness, and to advise the President
on health care benefits. See the Academic Charter for more information about the committee.
The Committee consists of twelve voting members, three elected by each of the constituent groups (faculty, administrative
staff, and classified staff), and three members appointed by the President. There are also three members (the University Treasurer,
the Benefits Manager, and Employee Benefits Supervisor) who serve by virtue of their office as ex-officio members. These members
may fully participate in the work and deliberations of the committee but are ineligible to vote or to serve as committee chair.
