Classified Staff Employment Application Form Instructions
This document describes the application form used for Classified Staff positions. The application form is a PDF (Portable Document Format) document that requires Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. The PDF form can be filled in using a computer keyboard and then e-mailed to email@example.com and printed for your records.
Note: Applicants with older computers may not be able to use the fill-in form. Older browsers do not support PDF fill-in forms. Clients using Internet Explorer as their browser need at least v. 4.0; those using Netscape Navigator need at least v. 3.0. All the features of the application may not be compatible with some Macintosh operating systems and the e-mail feature may not work with those using Yahoo e-mail. Please contact Human Resources if have questions regarding these issues.
Tips for completing the form:
Applicants may need to reload or refresh the page if the form does not display when the link is selected.
To enter information into the fill-in form, the "hand" icon must be selected on the Acrobat toolbar. Click on the "hand" icon to select it. If the "hand" icon is not selected, the cursor will not appear in the box when the applicant tries to enter data.
In order for items to appear when printing the form, each box must be de-selected after the data is entered. As the applicant fills in the form, just moving to the next data field will de-select the previous one. Click outside the last data field to de-select it. Applicants should look over their application to make sure all fields have been entered on their form.
The large boxes on the form allow for multiple lines of entry. Such boxes have a limited number of text they will accept. If more space is needed please include a separate attachment such as a resume.
To enter months into the form, click and hold the arrow in the corresponding box. Choose the correct month from the list of months that appears.
The e-mail and print buttons on the form allow easy e-mailing and printing of the form. These buttons do not appear on the form when it is printed.
The signature and the end of the form may not be entered electronically so please read the "pre-employment information/conditions" and check yes if you understand the statement. Then e-mail the application, and attach a resume if desired, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that there may be security risks with the sending of an e-mailed application.
