Internal Staff Positions for BGSU Employees Only
Final candidate(s) are required to authorize and pass a background investigation prior to an offer of employment. Offers of employment are conditional until a background investigation has been successfully completed and all other pre-employment requirements are satisfied. The University reserves the right to determine and confirm suitability for employment and to end any employment already begun if the background check reveals disqualifying information.
- NOTE: Any current full-time & part-time Faculty, Administrative or Classified Staff (past probation) may apply for internal classified positions.
Employees wishing to apply for internally listed Classified positions must sign a Employee Request to Transfer form and attach an updated resume or data sheet. This information must be turned in to Human Resources by the job deadline. Classified positions advertised for internal recruitment that result in a pool of less than five (5) qualified candidates may be authorized to conduct an external search or be given access to an existing pool for the same classification after the qualified internal candidates have been interviewed.
Please remember if you are the successful candidate for an internal transfer (including a promotion into a new classification series) you will take your present retention points with you to your new position.
