Managing Your Financial Aid Funds – It’s Not Like Winning the Lottery!
4 p.m., Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Mylander Room (Room 207)
Often, students who receive financial aid refund checks see those funds as a windfall or “free money” and go on a spending spree. More often than not, that choice proves to be unhelpful and, in some cases, very detrimental to the student’s financial future. Spending without a plan is the number one reason why many of us get into serious financial trouble. Join us in a discussion with staff from Student Financial Aid and Student Money Management Services to explore beneficial strategies in the use of your financial aid funds.

Time Management: The Secret to Your Success!
5 – 6 p.m., Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Family Room (Room 208)
We all have the same 24 hours in a day so why are some people better at balancing schedules and managing their time than others? This workshop will introduce you to time management techniques that you can use to be more in control of the way you spend your time and your life. Please bring a planner/calendar and your syllabus for each class for a workshop activity! Sponsored by Advising Services.
