Bus trip will be on Saturday, August 31st, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH

Have general advising questions? Not sure about some of the BGSU academic policies and procedures? Stop by and chat with BGSU advisors from various college or program areas and get pointed in the right direction to success. These sessions are meant to help with quick, simple advising questions – Make sure you schedule an appointment with your college advisor if you have any major questions or concerns! Sponsored by Advising Services, the University Academic Support Council (UASC), and Residence Life. This program is also offered on various dates in the lobbies of McDonald Hall, Kohl Hall, Kreischer-CD, and Centennial Hall.
Step Out of the Classroom and Explore the World

Students who attend this event will have the opportunity to meet a panel of student representatives from Education Abroad. They will have the opportunity to hear stories, ask questions, and gain insight on how to start exploring study, volunteer, and internship abroad options. Are You a Resume Rookie?
4 – 5 p.m., Olscamp Hall, Room 221
Are you are considering part-time employment while attending BGSU? You’ll impress employers if you have a resume that reflects the transferable skills and experience you’ve gained so far. No formal work experience? No problem! At this session you can begin to create your first resume or give your high school resume a BGSU makeover and learn to navigate WorkNet, our online job search database. Sponsored by BGSU Student Employment Services. This program is also offered on Tuesday, September 3rd, Wednesday, September 4th, Monday, September 9th, and Wednesday, September 11th, at various times in Olscamp Hall, Room 221.

Come hang out, eat free food, and get to know hundreds of new students as we go cheer on the Falcons for their home opener!
Downtown BG Tradition Tour
6 p.m., Meet outside Carillon Place OR The Oaks
Don’t limit yourself to campus. One-of-a-kind restaurants, shops, and activities are just a short walk away! You can’t be a true Falcon without experiencing these downtown BG traditions. Additional Downtown BG Tradition Tours will be offered daily at 6 p.m. from Monday, August 26th, through Friday, August 30th, and again at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31st. Falcon Fanatics with Special Guest, Dean Jill Carr
7 p.m., Doyt Perry Stadium
Come join the Falcon Fanatics in the student section for the BG Football Home Opener vs. Tulsa! A special guest will be in attendance with the Falcon Fanatics during the first half of the game, Bowling Green State University Senior Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Jill Carr! The Falcon Fanatics are a student spirit organization energizing the atmosphere for students to motivate and support BG Athletic Teams. Falcon Fanatics attend every BGSU home game and seek to improve membership with as many BGSU students as possible.
Football Game vs. University of Tulsa
7 p.m., Doyt Perry Stadium
The Football Falcons, which feature 17 Preseason All-MAC Team selections, open their season against Conference USA foe Tulsa. Last season the Falcons finished 8-4, earning a trip to the Military Bowl. This year, the Falcons are looking for a MAC Title.
9 p.m., Olscamp Hall, Room 101
It's kinda like "The Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon." Only, it's really not that late and Jimmy's not really here. Filled with diversity, creativity, and some of the coolest people you'll meet on campus, Cru is the best place on campus to explore faith in a safe and challenging environment. Sponsored by Cru.
9 – 10:50 p.m., Ice Arena
With valid BGSU ID, come skate for free at the Ice Arena. Beginner through advanced skaters are encouraged to give skating a try during Public Skate. Rental skates are available to those in need. Sponsored by Athletics. Public Skate will be available at this time nightly from Monday, August 26th – Thursday, August 29th, AND Tuesday, September 3rd – Thursday, September 5th.
11 p.m. – 12 a.m., Ice Arena
With valid BGSU ID, come play broomball for free at the Ice Arena. Bring your friends and wear sneakers with good tread. Helmets, balls and sticks will be provided. Sponsored by Athletics. Broomball will be available at this time nightly from Monday, August 26th – Thursday, August 29th, AND Tuesday, September 3rd – Thursday, September 5th.
