With the BGSU faculty members and peers from your academic program, you will discuss important themes, reactions, and responses to Tori Murden McClure’s A Pearl In the Storm. Be sure to bring your writing assignment about A Pearl in the Storm to this session.

Living in a Community

Connect with your hall staff to learn what it takes to be a successful part of a residential community. This might be your first time living away from home or first time living with a roommate! Join your hallmates and discuss what it means to be a BGSU student. Commuter students will meet with their OWGL groups at this time.
BGSU PlayFair

Stroh Center
This event is a must for any new student wanting to start off their college experience meeting future friends and classmates. BGSU Playfair is a high-energy event where you get to know over a hundred student leaders and many other first-year students. This will be one of your first opportunities to check out the Stroh Center – home to many BGSU athletic and special events. Sponsored by the Center for Leadership, Fraternity and Sorority Community, and New Student Orientation and First Year Programs.
