Meet the oldest tree on campus

At nearly 259 years old, it’s twice as old as BGSU itself. The towering white oak in the Oak Grove near Williams Hall was revealed as the oldest tree on campus at a “Century Trees” ceremony this morning in celebration of the Centennial and Arbor Day.

Storytelling students to present Festival of the Word

Families and children of all ages are invited to enjoy a free storytelling adventure featuring performances by BGSU students in tales that inspire character, friendship and personal accomplishment.

From 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow (May 1) in the Wooster Street Center (on the corner of Wooster and Williams streets), the Storytelling and Community class will present The Festival of the Word, a community showcase of storybook performances drawn from the Children’s Book Center of BGSU’s Jerome Library Curriculum Resource Center.
