Falcon Millionaires @ BGSU receives donation
The Grainger Foundation has donated $10,000 to the BGSU Foundation in support of Falcon Millionaires @ BGSU, a program that focuses on financial literacy
for eighth-graders.
"This grant will be used to help provide much needed supplies for the weeklong boot camp," said Jane Clinard, admissions program coordinator and director
of Falcon Millionaires. "We support the need for personal financial literacy at an early age, and this camp for savvy kids fits perfectly for this mission.
We are grateful to The Grainger Foundation for its generosity."
Clinard said the program currently meets the following Ohio Department of Education focus areas: Applying financial decision making; engaging in problem
solving; analyzing budgets and investing; interacting with entrepreneurs, and participating in an etiquette luncheon.
Grainger has been a part of the Perrysburg and northwest Ohio business community for more than 34 years and is a broad line supplier of maintenance, repair
and operating products.
"We are proud to recommend the programs offered by BGSU," said Robert Hoagland, branch manager of W.W. Grainger Inc.'s Perrysburg location. "We understand
the need for offering financial education at an early age, which is also supported by the state of Ohio's leadership in Columbus."
William W. Grainger, founder of W.W. Grainger, Inc., established the Grainger Foundation, an independent, private foundation based in Lake Forest, Ill., in
1949.
