In October 2009, President Carol Cartwright established an 18-member search committee for the position of Vice President for University Advancement/President & CEO, BGSU Foundation, Inc. The committee, in concert with the professional search firm Witt/Kieffer, developed a position description and leadership profile.

Throughout January and February, Witt/Kieffer is advertising the position and soliciting qualified individuals to apply. The search committee will screen applications in March and conduct preliminary interviews soon after. It is hoped that second-round candidate interviews can occur in April and that any finalists for the position will participate in on-campus interviews in late April and early May.
