The Student Alumni Connection (SAC), in conjunction with the Alumni Association, is proud to announce their search for the
2010 Master Teacher Award.
This prestigious award allows both graduate and undergraduate students to nominate a professor who they consider a master in their profession who has gone above and beyond within the classroom. The Master Teacher Award is one of the few student-driven and student-selected awards given to a faculty member and is a great honor for the professor who receives it.
The faculty recipient of the Master Teacher Award will receive:
- A monetary award of $1,000
- The honorable recognition of being the 2010 Master Teacher
- A personal plaque
- Engraved name on a permanent plaque in the Mileti Alumni Center
The following professors are past recipients of the Master Teacher Award and are therefore ineligible to receive the award: Raymond Tucker, Steven Ludd, Peter Hutchinson, Carl Holmberg, Robert Romans, Martha Rogers, Elizabeth Allgeier, Neil Browne, Cynthia Strong, Ruth Olscamp, Lee Meserve, Robert Midden, Charles Kahle, Vincent Kantorski, Jack Nachbar, Laura Juarez de Ku, Bonnie Fink, Steve Rogelberg, Timothy Fuerst, Daniel Brahier, Irina Stakhanova, Michael French, Gene Poor, Brett Holden, Jeffrey Gordon, Kenneth Snead, and Earl Boatwright.
Nominees should:
- Be presently employed full time by Bowling Green State Universityc
- Have taught a minimum of 5 years full time at BGSU (Our selection committee will verify this information once they are nominated.)
- Exhibit scholarly knowledge and present class material in an effective manner.
