New Academic Programs Are Launched at BGSU

MINOR IN PEACE AND CONFLICT STUDIES (PACS)

The minor in Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS) is a multidisciplinary program designed to provide students with the conceptual and practical tools to understand and resolve conflicts and to build peace in a globalized world. Students use methodologies from the social sciences and humanities to explore the causes and relationships that create conflict and peace.

HONG KONG BAPTIST UNIVERSITY EXCHANGE PROGRAM

BGSU’s School of Communication Studies is launching its first international student exchange program with Hong Kong Baptist University’s (HKBU) School of Communication, the largest communication program in Hong Kong, China. Up to five selected students in the three departments of the School of Communication Studies (Interpersonal Communication, Journalism and Public Relations, and Telecommunications) will study at HKBU in spring. A study tour to mainland China will be organized for the students and students will have opportunities to learn Chinese culture and Chinese medicine. The HKBU students will be assigned to different student media organizations of BGSU or the Public Broadcasting Station on campus, WBGU-27.
