These workshop sessions emphasize the themes of the Conference on Media, War and Conflict Resolution and capitalize on the strengths of our faculty members. In the morning session, our facilitators will examine what journalists and the public can do to foster improved accuracy and cultural sensitivity in media reporting, especially when it comes to reporting on issues that affect Muslim communities locally or internationally. The audience for this session includes Telecommunication and Journalism students, journalists, media critics and scholars and members of the public. In the afternoon session, our facilitators will discuss how peace and conflict studies can be seamlessly incorporated into education programs at all levels and in a wide variety of contexts. The audience for this session includes Education and Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS) students, educators at all levels, and members of the public. All workshop sessions will be held at the Bowen Thompson Student Union, Bowling Green State University.
