College of Business
For me, a good read has a well-developed plot, with several sub-plots running parallel to the main story. I really enjoy characters who are tenacious in their quests and approach life with a perspective different from mine. A really good book causes me to think and grow!
- Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo
A little boy’s actual experience with life after death
- Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich
Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has a unique approach to capturing suspected criminals
- Wicked Business by Janet Evanovich
Not sure what this is about, but Janet is always a fun read!
Books I’ve read and would recommend:
- Zeitoun by Dave Eggers
The true story of one family’s Hurricane Katrina experience
- Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver
A year in the life of a family eating the food of their own land, supplemented by locally grown food
