Dr. Joyce Eastlund Gromko
Professor of music education Expertise: General music for all students regardless of previous experience, and teaching methods that lead to musical literacy for
students in preschool through high school. Also interested in Montessori and Quaker schools as environments designed to teach
children skills of negotiation and conflict resolution, importance of apprenticeships in teacher education, and the effectiveness
