BGSU to host annual organ competition
BOWLING GREEN, O.—The 36th annual Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts Organ Competition will be held Feb. 27 in 0112 Moore Musical Arts Center.
Feb. 5 is the deadline to apply for the jury-judged competition for high school seniors. It boasts a $4,000 scholarship, divided over four years, contingent upon acceptance to the University.
During the competition, each contestant will be allotted 15 minutes to perform two pieces—one composed by J.S. Bach and the other, written after 1750. Contestants aren’t required to memorize the music for their performance; a page-turner will be available upon request.
