BOWLING GREEN, O.—Those interested in pursuing internships in other countries are invited to a presentation at Bowling Green State University on Wednesday (Sept. 16). Bruce Purdy, senior program manager for the U.S. Small Business Administration in the Office of Entrepreneurial Development, will discuss his own experiences abroad and provide information about several programs and opportunities.

The 8 p.m. program will be held in BGSU’s Global Village community in Conklin G, on East Wooster Street across from Baldwin Avenue. Purdy’s talk is part of BGSU’s International Careers Network kickoff.

A BGSU alumnus with bachelor’s degrees in Russian and international studies and a master’s degree in public administration, Purdy is also vice president for program development at the Alfa Fellowship Alumni Association, coordinated by CDS International, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to advance international practical training opportunities for young professionals, students, educators and representatives from labor, business and government. The Alfa program finds American citizens for professional assignments in Russia.

Purdy will also discuss the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program, which places young Americans in a professional development program in Europe.
