Take a look at BGSU Oct. 29
BOWLING GREEN, O.—More than 600 prospective Bowling Green State University students are expected to be on campus Oct. 29 to
take a look at academic departments, student service areas and residence halls.
High school students visiting BGSU on Preview Day can also tour the campus, visit the University Bookstore and learn about
BGeXperience and other programs for first-year students.
BGeXperience is BGSU’s values-exploration initiative for freshmen and, along with other First Year Programs, will be featured
in a half-hour presentation at 9:30 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. in 201 Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
Ten days prior to the event, 560 high school students already had registered online to attend Preview Day, which will give
them a look at more than 100 academic departments and student service areas at BGSU.
Displays will be located in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom and the Multi-Purpose Room (228) of the union. University faculty,
staff and students will be available to answer questions from 9 a.m. to noon that day.
Campus and residence hall tours will also be offered, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and many departments will sponsor tours or
open houses starting at noon. In addition, prospective students may visit the University Bookstore and attend an information
session about financial aid either at 10:15 a.m. or noon in the Union Theater.
For visitors who would like to spend more time on campus, the Falcon Marching Band will present a show at 2 p.m. in Perry
Field House, prior to the 4 p.m. football game against the University of Akron at Doyt Perry Stadium.
For more information about Preview Day, contact David Rice, assistant director of admissions at BGSU, at 419-372-7800 or drice@bgnet.bgsu.edu.
