Holiday open house planned at School of Art

BOWLING GREEN, O.—The Bowling Green State University School of Art will wrap up the fall semester with a holiday open house from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 11 in the Fine Arts Center on the BGSU campus.

The open house will feature exhibitions, displays of student work and demonstrations, as well as live music. Student artwork will also be on sale in the building.

The School of Art’s 55th annual Faculty and Staff Exhibition may be viewed in the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery, while “Design Migrations: UniGraphics’ Best,” an exhibition of work by former student employees of BGSU UniGraphics, can be seen in the Willard Wankelman Gallery. The Hiroko Nakamoto Gallery will be the site of a Japanese Tea Ceremony presentation.

Undergraduate and graduate student studios will be open in each discipline’s area of the building, with demonstrations promoting the individual programs.
Exhibitions—and sales—will include work in drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, fibers, glass, jewelry/metals, sculpture, computer animation, digital imaging, interactive multimedia and graphic design.

Student art organizations involved in planning the event include the Print Society, the Two-Dimensional Artists Association, the Student Metal Art Council and the Computer Art Club.

The open house is free. Donations will be accepted, however, to help support each of the student art organizations.
