Preview Day planned Oct. 30 BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University is inviting prospective students to come and see what the University has
to offer during Preview Day on Saturday (Oct. 30).
The Preview Day display area will be open from 9 a.m. to noon in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom and the Multi-purpose Room of
the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
Students will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of faculty, staff and students from more than 100 academic departments
and student service areas.
“It is a great day for students and parents to come in and visit our campus,” said David Rice, assistant director of admissions.
“There are many activities that students can get involved with and get their questions answered.”
After stopping by the Falcon’s Nest for refreshments from 9 a.m. to noon, students can tour campus between 9:30 a.m. and 1
p.m. Tour groups will leave from the first-floor hallway in the Union by the Black Swamp Pub.
An overview of the BGeXperience Program and other first-year student success initiatives will be presented at 10 a.m. and
11:30 a.m. in the Sky Bank Room in the Union.
Those attending also can find out more about financial aid to attend Bowling Green when the Student Financial Aid Office conducts
information sessions at 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and noon in the Union Theater.
Residence hall tours will leave from the Residence Life display in the Union.
In conjunction with Preview Day, the Discovery Day Program for African-American students from 1-3 p.m. will provide an overview
of BGSU’s commitment to diversity. Topics include the admissions process, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, programs
and services offered through the Center for Multicultural and Academic Initiatives, and a review of the Academic Investment
in Math and Science Scholarship Program (AIMS).
Students interested in being an art major must go through a portfolio review process for admission to the School of Art. Onsite
portfolio reviews will be conducted by appointment at the School of Art on Preview Day. Students will have the opportunity
to briefly discuss their artwork and goals with faculty.
Following Preview Day, students and parents are invited to stay in Bowling Green for the hockey and football games.
