BOWLING GREEN, O.—State Fire School, coordinated by Continuing & Extended Education at Bowling Green State University, will be held from Oct. 9-12.
Firefighters and emergency service personnel can supplement the training obtained at regional and departmental levels with State Fire School’s four-day classes. The school provides hands-on, real-life training using actual structures and scenarios.
Courses will be offered in areas of administration, arson inspection and prevention, emergency medical service, fire fighting, industrial techniques and rescue and extrication.
New this fall is an instructor certification course that combines in-class and online coursework. Firefighters and emergency service personnel will complete 30 hours of class time and 8 hours of specialized training at Bowling Green, then finish the remaining 20 hours online.
