Preview Day slated Oct. 18 BOWLING GREEN, O. — Bowling Green State University invites high school students to come see what BGSU has to offer at Preview
Day on Saturday (Oct. 18). “
I encourage students to get on campus and visit,” said David Rice, assistant director of admissions. “Preview Day allows students
to see real residents and get a firsthand experience of what college is all about.”
A display area representing 100 academic departments and student services will be open from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Lenhart
Grand Ballroom and the Multipurpose Room in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. Faculty, staff and students will be on hand
to answer questions.
After grabbing a snack in the hospitality area—open from 9 a.m. to noon in the Union’s first-floor Falcon’s Nest—find out
more about financial aid at BGSU. The Student Financial Aid Office will conduct information sessions at 10:30 a.m., 11:15
a.m. and noon in the Union Theater, on the building’s second floor.
On the financial aid front, the University has just announced a program to provide more scholarship assistance to new first-year
and transfer students.
Walking tours of the campus will be given from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Preview Day, featuring looks at academic facilities and
the Student Recreation Center. Tour groups will leave from the first-floor hallway in the Union by the Black Swamp Pub. Each
tour lasts about an hour.
Residence hall tours will also be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tour guides will gather participants at the front desk
of each residence hall and at the Residence Life display area in the Union.
Departments will host special tours or open houses at their facilities from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sign up at the desired department’s
booth in the display area. For more information, visit http://admissnt1.bgsu.edu/visitbg/visit.php?date=2003-10-18.
