Governor Taft names Bowling Green archivist to statewide advisory council

BOWLING GREEN, O.--A Bowling Green State University archivist has been named to a statewide advisory council by Ohio Governor Bob Taft.

Robert Graham, archivist for the Historical Collections of the Great Lakes in Jerome Library and current president of the Association for Great Lakes Maritime History, has been appointed to the Submerged Lands Advisory Council.

The nine-member council advises the Coastal Resources Advisory Council, the director of National Resources, the director of the Ohio Historical Society and the members of the General Assembly on issues related to the management and preservation of submerged resources.

The council makes recommendations regarding creation and boundaries of submerged lands preserves, the issue of permits for salvage or recovery of submerged abandoned property, and related policy or legislative issues. (Posted 10/19/2000)
