Student body presient recognized for leadership
The leadership shown by Marcos Popovich of Toledo earned the BGSU senior a 2000 Diamante Outstanding Youth Leadership Award this fall.
Couple gives $3 million to Student Union project
A Plymouth, Michigan, couple has given $3 million to Bowling Green State University. BGSU alumni Robert M. and Ellen (Bowen) Thompson presented the gift to the University to expand and renovate the Student Union.

BGSU environmental health education project awarded $1.8 million grant
A seven-year grant totaling more than $1.8 million from the National Institutes of Health’s Environmental Health Division has been awarded to BGSU to help teach children about how human activities affect the environment and the resulting impact on public health.
