INDUSTRIAL PSYCHOLOGIST TO SPEAK AT BGSU’S FALL COMMENCEMENT

BOWLING GREEN, O.--Dr. Steven Rogelberg, an associate professor in the nationally recognized Industrial and Organizational Psychology Program at Bowling Green State University, will be the University’s fall commencement speaker.

Commencement exercises will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Anderson Arena in Memorial Hall on campus.

A resident of Perrysburg, Rogelberg is director of the Institute for Psychological Research and Application at the University. In recognition of his excellence in teaching, he was selected by the Undergraduate Alumni Association as the 1999 Master Teacher. The award is considered to be among the highest faculty honors.

Rogelberg has recently been nominated for the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology 2000-01 Ernest J. McCormick Award for Distinguished Early Career Contributions and was invited to serve as editor of the Handbook of Research Methods in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, expected to be published in 2001.

Prior to joining the BGSU faculty in 1994, Rogelberg worked in IBM’s special studies research group in Armonk, N.Y., and was a senior research associate for Javitch Associates. He earned both his doctoral and master’s degrees from the University of Connecticut and his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University. (Posted 12-4-00 )
