Memorial service to be held
for Bernard Rabin
A memorial service for Bernard "Bernie" Rabin,
a professor emeritus of education, will be held at 1
p.m. Dec. 5 in Prout Chapel.
Rabin, 87, died Nov. 10. He taught at the University
from 1955 until his retirement in 1982. After being
diagnosed with terminal leukemia last summer, Rabin
established a fund to help BGSU students pay for emergency
needs, similar to a fund at Columbia University that
had assisted him when he was a young graduate. His family
suggests memorials be made to the Rabin Helping Hand
Fund in care of the BGSU Foundation Inc.
